The man born Etienne Singotiko inches ever closer to his eventual stardom, as the 27 year-old Long Island native executes his clinical approach to the music industry. He goes by the moniker "Young Rockstar," embodying the handle as Hip Hop's one and only Rock centric voices. Often blurring the line between what defines both Hip Hop and Rock music, Rockstar seemingly fades the distinction between the two genres in a wash of melancholy and darkness.
Young Rockstar solidified himself as an artist-producer at the young age of 16, learning how to write, perform, and produce music on different instruments. During his transition into adulthood, during the Great Recession of 2007, he and his family were faced with a stark period of homelessness. As he started to make sense of the world around him, this low point in his life became the moment that defined his future ambitions.
His career only began to take shape in 2009 when he found success as a frontman for his band "Etienne Sin," who went on to trailblaze the independent Metal scene. Racking up millions of views online and tens of thousands of fans, he was able to tour around the country and experience the industry first hand.
In 2013, he used that success to form The Sin Circle Records (TSCR), an indie record label focusing on developing artists from the ground up. He quickly became a kingmaker by raising his own stars, such as Live Like Glass and Desdemona, under his TSCR brand name. During this time, he focused on his skills as a multi-media producer, recognizing his talents as both a record producer and video director.
His strides with TSCR refined his entrepreneurial sense and in 2016 he decidedly quit his "Etienne Sin" project to refocus on his first true love, Hip Hop music. As the solo artist "Young Rockstar" he took two years to find a sound, aethstetic, and business strategy; then in early 2018, Young Rockstar released his first mixtape titled "Moves & Movies."
He promises to be the hardest working artist in the music industry by delivering 7 more mixtapes for the 2018 calendar year, alongside a whole host of music video visuals. All the while, his entrepreneurial work continues to shine as he moves towards bringing a new brand of liqueur to market called "Tesce Amaretto." He states, "I want to be the only new artist in the world to also come out of the gate with my own drink. If you think about it, Young Rockstar is a new artist with a decade of experience under the belt. Now I just have to get out of my own way."
